Jesuit Retreats
Loyola offers weekend and one week retreats as well as Summer and Holy Week retreats.
Be renewed in energy, in spirituality, and in your relationship with God.
Surrounded by acres of lawns, gardens and pathways through the trees, you are
invited to discover and deepen your relationship to God, Jesus, and the Spirit,
and to rediscover yourself through prayer, silence, reflection, and rest.
It’s not what you bring, it’s what you take home. How often do you get the
opportunity to remove yourself from your daily activities and give yourself
the gift of silent reflection. St. Ignatius taught us that it is in silent
prayer that you become completely aware of God’s presence in your life.
And without the distractions of everyday.
Although we are a Catholic retreat house in the Ignatian tradition, we welcome
men and women of all faiths to our silent, conference retreats. All of our rooms
are private. Our facility is handicapped accessible.
Forgiveness
Through prayer and reflection, taking notice of areas of unforgiveness that remain in our lives.
Spiritual Marriage
Praying with Old and New Testament marriage imagery as it describes our
relationship with God. We will learn of, discover, and own through prayer,
God’s
living commitment in love and fidelity to each of us, to our spouses and
families, and all of creation. We will use the words of the prophets and
the words of Jesus as they describe and give witness to this wonderful, faithful,
eternal love of God for us and with us.
Our Relationship with God and One Another
"My love for you is an everlasting love. Come follow me."
We will reflect on the ways that God has shown his love for us by the
gifts that he has bestowed on us, the qualities that are ours, the
talents and abilities and the relationships that we are blessed with.
Freedom is also one of God’s gifts. We will look at the challenge
that faces each one of us to use that freedom to grow in our knowledge
and love of God and one another, and the need for growth in freedom in
order to be able to say yes to God’s invitation – "Come follow
me."
Eucharist
A retreat focusing on finding and living the Eucharist in daily life.
Presentations trace the origins and history of the Eucharist as we know
it today back to the foot of Mt. Sinai, through Old Testament prophets,
Jesus and the Last Supper/Crucifixion/Resurrection, into our present
experiences of meals and sacrifice, which link our lived experiences to
the Eucharist. By way of pertinent Gospel passages, retreatants will be
asked to reflect on/pray about a) what it looks like in their lives to be
"bread broken" and "blood poured out" for others; b) how meals and
sacrifices have been such integral parts of their lives and how this
relates them to the ‘meal and sacrifice’ of the Eucharist; and c) what
LIVING the Eucharist might look like from a ‘post Resurrection’
perspective.
Christian Obedience
Understanding the virtue of obedience as listening to and for God in my life.
Praying with the Saints
Learning to pray with those through whom God has taught
the Church throughout the centuries.
Finding God in All Things
