The theme for this retreat is “The Sermon On The Mount: The Lord’s Blueprint for Living a Faith Based Life and the Key to Spiritual Freedom.” Psalm 4 asks, “What can bring us happiness, many say?” True happiness, or joy as the scriptures describe it, can only come from living God’s will. In Matthew, chapters 5 through 7, Jesus explains to his disciples what that means for daily living in this collection by the evangelist of the Lord’s sayings. Seemingly simple, they ask for a profound transformation of our inner selves and a willingness to be transformed into disciples who walk humbly with our God. Join us as we explore the depths of Christ’s Sermon on the Mount and its many challenges to the Lord’s faithful who seek that one thing necessary.
