September 18 – 20, 2020 – VIRTUAL WEEKEND – Inner Peace In Friendship With Jesus

September 18 @ 7:00pm - September 20 @ 7:00pm

For both Men and Women.  A Minimum of 20 people required for this retreat to take place.

The presenters are the Manresa Companions: Bob Giugliano, Ph.D. psychologist and spiritual director, Rick D’Aversa a mentor in the spirituality of the 12 steps and the Spiritual Exercises, and Barbara Stahley, spiritual director, certified Christian Life Coach and giver of bible workshops. They will be available during the weekend for individual consultation via Zoom.

Our longing for peace is intensified during these days as we undergo unprecedented spiritual challenges. Confronted with the sickness of millions and the deaths of tens of thousands, social unrest, economic hardships and political divisiveness we are exhausted, anxious and deeply sad.

We long for peace, unity, harmony and justice. We long to experience the kingdom Jesus proclaimed and brought to life sitting around the table and sharing a meal in conversation with his friends.

We will offer four prayer sessions modeled after the First Spiritual Exercises by Michael Hansen, S.J.

There will be plenty of silent time for private prayer, consultation with our retreat staff, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Mass and
Holy Hour and Adoration on Saturday evening.

• This retreat will be added to your weekend retreat count contributing toward certificates and awards.
• This is a great way to introduce someone NEW to the Loyola retreat experience – if they have been hesitant! Sign up together! Invite a spouse, partner, family member or relative in another state, friend, co-worker, neighbor! You can all participate together VIRTUALLY! We may be socially distanced but we are spiritually connected!

The VIRTUAL RETREAT will be structured the same as a weekend retreat and will begin Friday evening at 7pm. It will be offered using ZOOM, but DO NOT BE AFRAID! You do not have to own ZOOM to participate or be tech savvy. Upon registering, you will be sent a link to the ZOOM retreat along with an alternate call-in number. So if you are NOT TECH SAVVY, you can simply call-in via phone and participate this way. It is very simple. You will also be sent by EMAIL the schedule; all materials needed for the retreat along with the Loyola Retreat Manual.
