Sunday, September 22, 2019 – DAY OF PRAYER – BioSpiritual Focusing Introduction
September 22 @ 1:00pm - 5:00pm
(1:00pm – 5:00pm)
Led by Sr. Helen Beairsto, r.c.
BioSpiritual Focusing is a way to pray using the inner wisdom of our body. It is a process that refers to the inclusive awareness of our body in prayer. It is a spiritual process that helps us to become aware of our felt senses and teaches us how to allow them to be part of our prayer encounters with God. It teaches us the body felt awareness of grace movement within and can be helpful in our discernments. For many, this is the way of living the sentir of the body. BioSpiritual Focusing is a process that makes use of the Gendlin Focusing Process and creates a new non-therapeutic format where the Paschal Mystery in our everyday life is honored and guides us into more Life. This newer form of process was created by Rev. Peter Campbell and Rev. Edwin McMahon.
Come and spend the afternoon learning about this process and the ways it can enhance your spiritual life in daily events as well as praying with sacred Scripture. It is one that lends itself to singular practice or in companionship with others.
