Sunday, September 26, 2021 – Ignatian Year Event: “Jesuit Conversations”
September 26 @ 2:00pm - 4:00pm
The practice of ‘giving testimony’ might be an experience more closely identified with our Evangelical brothers and sisters than with Catholic sensibilities. No matter the religious tradition, however; we know how powerful it can be to hear another’s story of the joys and challenges of walking in the way of the Lord.
Come for an afternoon of prayer and ‘sacred eavesdropping’ as we come to learn more deeply about the spiritual journeys of our Loyola Jesuits on staff. In an informal setting of conversation, we will share in some of the significant markers in their life map of faith — the answer to their vocational call, the highlights and blessings of their Jesuit way of being in the world and on mission, and key touchstones in the life of St. Ignatius that continue to inspire them.
There will be time for reflection on our own faith journeys as well, a reminder that our individual stories connect us to a larger community where God’s great story is still being written.
We will conclude the afternoon with a reception and time to enjoy the spiritual travelogue prepared by Marie Santana, with photos taken during her time as a student at the six-week International School of Ignatian Spirituality in Manresa, Spain.
This offering is free, no donation requested. Please register for the Jesuit Conversations.
