Greetings to all our dear friends and companions in Loyola’s ongoing mission!
As you surely read earlier in our revamped newsletter, Loyola is looking ahead with energy towards exciting ways of
pursuing the Jesuit apostolic commitments guiding those seeking pathways closer to the Risen Lord, walking with those
most in need, and caring for our common home. The focus is on enriching the encounter between all of our brothers and
sisters in this life with God, on accompaniment, and towards the pursuit of an integral human ecology. With aplomb, Loyola
has weathered difficult years of pandemic and instability and is now emerging as a center for Ignatian spirituality because of
you! We are eagerly looking forward from the vantagepoint of a 97-year history and we stand ready to meet the needs of
future generations right here in Morristown!
To help us rise fully to our vision, we rely in large part on the support of our faithful benefactors and supporters. We have
met over half of our 2024 goal to date which will secure and maintain the Loyola Jesuit Center house and grounds. With new
modalities for Jesuit-led spiritual programming and partnering with Catholic and Ignatian nonprofits emerging on our
Morristown campus, we cannot say enough how important it is that you lend us your ongoing support now!
With this update to you all, I want to particularly highlight the robust presence of Jesuit priests and brothers we will see here
over the next year! Not only are the newly missioned Fr. Tom Scirghi, SJ, and Fr. Jack Fagan, SJ, now to become part of
our regular, day-to-day activity--offering even the 30-day Spiritual Exercises in-house here at Loyola--but, the newly
enunciated cohort approach to Jesuit participation in Loyola’s mission will introduce our community to the contemplative and
servant leadership of more than 20 Jesuit priests and brothers from at least six Jesuit communities in our region. This is the
most fresh and diverse Jesuit presence Loyola will have ever made available!
We need your help to make all this a continuing reality. You can answer this call by sending your donation to Loyola Jesuit
Center at 161 James Street, Morristown, N.J. 07960, or by clicking the “Give Now” button at the top of our website, or by
following the "Click here" link just below. You can also accompany us on the journey and stay up to date on our mission, retreats, and events by “Liking us” via the Facebook button or following us via the YouTube button, both just to the right of this message.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions.
Again, we thank you for your support and consideration in
helping us to address these important needs. God bless each of you and we look forward to seeing you at Loyola soon!

Loyola Jesuit Center
Loyola Jesuit Center was founded on an act of generosity. In 1927, Welcome Bender purchased the Foote estate in Morristown and donated the house and property to the Jesuits. Loyola continues to rely on the generosity of its donors, benefactors and friends to keep its mission going. To view our latest Annual Report, please click here to see how your generosity is being utilized.

As a result, donors may enhance financial security for themselves and their families, while also making a substantial commitment to strengthening the future of Loyola.
